Sid Meier, the person who created the popular strategy game series Civilization, has announced recently on a brand new project which is called Civilization Network - a version that would be available on major social community websites, in particular Facebook.
The game will include the popular elements which made the series into a success and one of the influential strategy game series in the game industry - which are building a strong, thriving and rich civilization. This is what Sid Meier himself wrote on Civilization Network Facebook page (which reached about 28,000 fans in just couple of days).
Meier Says:
"You can coordinate your strategy to win great battles, share your technology to jump ahead of your rivals, lobby your family and friends to form your own government and win vital elections, manage and grow your cities to maximize production and happiness, spy on your enemies, and work with your friends to create the great Wonders of the World. The game will offer everything you enjoy in Civ in a fully persistent environment - you can play as much as you like, whenever you like, and it’ll be free to play."
The game's released is planned next year, and currently Meier is looking for closed beta testers prior to Civilization Network's release.
